The mission of Acadiana Youth, Inc. is to provide a safe haven for abused and troubled children, while offering a broad range of therapeutic, educational, and recreational services.

Every child in Acadiana deserves an opportunity to succeed.

Acadiana Youth, Inc.

The children housed by Acadiana Youth, Inc. are some of the neediest children of our community. They come from all eight parishes of Acadiana and beyond when necessary. They come from homes where the living conditions are poor, there isn’t enough food, their clothes are torn, and they fear for their safety. Our community must come together to ensure that Acadiana’s children are not forgotten. Acadiana Youth, Inc. is working hard to achieve this goal, but we need your help.

Trained child care workers and counselors provide 24 hour supervision, 365 days a year for residents of all three facilities. In addition to basic needs, including food, shelter, and clothing, Acadiana Youth strives to achieve more with the children by providing educational, recreational, and cultural activities, individual and group counseling, and social skills training.

Acadiana Youth, Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for the administration of all three shelters. Current sources of funding include the State of Louisiana Office of Community Services, grants, fund raisers, and private donations.
